About Wholesale Bali Silver
Bali Jewelry Wholesaler & Retailer
We a company that will supply you directly from Bali, this may confirm the beads actual authenticity.
Bali lies between the islands of Java and Lombok and is one of the seventeen thousand islands that make up the Indonesian Archipelago. Balinese has strong spiritual roots and beliefs in religion which have become synonymous with Indonesia’s Hindu island.
Our Bali silver beads are made by our own Balinese artists. We use both casting techniques and handmade production. Although some of our beads are cast, all those with dots and swirls are completed handmade. Each dot and each piece of filigree wire is applied by hand, using natural glue. It is then heated to solder and make unity.
We created using very basic tools. Looking at a bead closely, one can only admire the skill and patience required to create such petite, hand-crafted beauty.
Bali Silver Beads are typically granulated, at most, no more than 9-20mm in size, which means that Bali Beads are decorated with small pieces of wire, tiny silver balls and other shapes. To emphasize this design the bead is typically oxidized and the raised part then polished which gives a dark background highlighting the shiny silver pattern. Whilst the majority of beads are oxidized – they are also available as ‘bright’ beads i.e. beads that have not been oxidized, which are shiny polished silver. As well as silver beads, Bali Beads are also available in vermeil – which is gold plated.
A true Bali Bead will be made of silver. Balinese silver should have a minimum of 92.5% silver which makes it equal to sterling silver.
The production of Bali silver beads and Findings is time consuming as each silver bead is hand-made from start to finish – from melting silver sheets to polishing the final piece. Every piece of the pattern or design on a silver Bali bead and finding is made and attached separately. This means each bead and finding is unique – far different from imitation Balinese beads which are came from other countries like Turkey and India.
